Cody Bellinger hitless again Thursday

by Jarod Rupp | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, Aug 14th 1:52pm EDT

Cody Bellinger failed to get in on the action in Thursday night's win over San Diego, despite the Dodgers collecting thirteen hits and scoring eleven runs, going 0-for-3 on the night.

Fantasy Impact:

He was able to draw a walk in the game, but his batting average sits well below the Mendoza Line through the season's first twenty games (.165). Despite not recording a hit, Bellinger had the hardest hit ball in the entire game for both squads- a scorched liner to the first baseman in the third inning with an exit velocity of 109.9 mph. He also lined out in the first inning, that one with a 101.3 exit velocity, so he's hitting the ball hard and perhaps this is a sign the turnaround is imminent.
