Reds starter Sonny Gray allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out 10 over 6 2/3 innings in Friday's win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The win brings him to 4-1 on the season.

Gray is off to a very strong start to the 2020 season and bounced back on Friday after taking his first loss in his previous start. Through five starts, Gray has a 2.05 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts over 30 2/3 innings. He is currently scheduled to take on the Cardinals in St. Louis in his next start, but there is now some uncertainty regarding the future of the Reds schedule after an unknown player tested positive for COVID-19.
