Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez could miss the rest of the season due to a knee issue, manager Dusty Baker revealed Wednesday. Alvarez began the year on the COVID-19 injured list and appeared in just two games before being sidelined with a knee issue. (Dusty Baker via SportsTalk 790)

Fantasy Impact:

Alvarez has otherworldly talent, but this isn't the first time he has dealt with knee issues. The team has offered minimal information about the nature of the injury and whether or not it will eventually require surgery. In 2019, Alvarez batted .313 with 58 runs scored, 27 home runs, and 78 RBI in just 87 games.
