Drew Pomeranz was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder strain, retroactive to August 19th. (San Diego Padres on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Pomeranz was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder strain. With Kirby Yates out for the season, Pomeranz served as the Padres' primary closer. There is no timetable for his return and he will miss at least the next ten days. Look for Emilio Pagan and Jose Castillo to split closing duties until Pomeranz is able to return. Luis Perdomo was recalled in a corresponding move.
