Daniel Murphy does baseball activities for second straight day

by Kerry Kauffman | Wed, Mar 25th 7:34pm EDT

Daniel Murphy, who has not appeared in a Grapefruit League game due to a hamstring injury, participated in limited baseball activities for the second straight day. Murphy hit off a tee and took throws at first base. While Murphy's optimistic he'll be ready for the start of the season, he hasn't done much to test the injured hamstring. (Twitter.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Murphy, who has played his entire career with the Mets, hit .289 with 9 home runs and 57 RBI in 143 games last season. Murphy has been a solid, but unremarkable hitter, posting a career batting average of .290 with 48 home runs and 329 RBI. Should Murphy be unable to go Opening Day, expect Matt Reynolds or Danny Muno to get the start.
