Tomas Nido has been placed on the IL for an undisclosed reason. The Mets had a COVID-19 outbreak over the weekend so it is possible that Nido either tested positive or came into contact with someone who tested positive. (Steve Gelbs on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
On August 13th, Nido went 2-4 with two home runs and six RBI. In all other games this seasons he is 5-21 with zero home runs, zero RBI, and two runs scored. Fantasy owners in 12-team standard redraft leagues can leave Nido on the waiver wire until he can provide more consistent results.
