Sam Haggerty scores three runs, steals a base

by Jon Mathisen | Mariners Correspondent | Thu, Aug 27th 9:49pm EDT

Sam Haggerty went a combined 3-for-8 with three runs scored, two RBI, a double, and a stolen base in the Mariners Thursday doubleheader against the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

The 26-year old utility-man has been a solid contributor for the Mariners since he got called up a little over a week ago. He'll stay in the lineup as long he continues to perform at a high level. Nothing indicates that he can continue to hit like this but he's always been able to get on base and he also stole 113 bases across five seasons in the minors. The 26-year old is slashing .303/.324/.485 with one home run, five RBI, and four stolen bases across 33 at-bats. If you're in need of some speed down the stretch, he's worth a dart throw add in deep leagues.
