Fantasy Impact:
It's a killer to fantasy players in redraft leagues who selected Alvarez this season. He missed several weeks for "undisclosed" reasons and homered in his first at bat. Then, his knees started aching again. Alvarez has dealt with knee issues dating back to the minors. If anything, though, this surgery should be considered a plus for his dynasty value. At least the problem is being addressed.
