Anthony Bass pitched a clean ninth inning to pick up a save on Friday in the first game of a doubleheader in the win against the Red Sox.
Fantasy Impact:
Bass now has five saves with a solid 2.37 ERA and a 0.84 WHIP over 19 innings of work. With Jordan Romano (finger) landing on the 10-day injured list and Ken Giles (forearm) still building up his arm strength, Bass has become the Blue Jay's main candidate to handle the closer role in the short term. The veteran reliever is worth picking up in 12 team fantasy leagues and deeper.
