Yohan Ramirez secures second save of the season

by Jon Mathisen | Mets Correspondent | Sun, Sep 6th 11:48am EDT

Yohan Ramirez picked up the save on Saturday, allowing one home run and recording one strikeout to shut the door on the Rangers 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Ramirez entered the game with the Mariners holding a 5-2 lead and promptly gave up a lead-off home run to Shin-Soo Choo before settling down and recording the next three outs via a line out, strike out, and fly out. He's received two save opportunities since the Mariners traded away former closer Taylor Williams at the deadline. He seems to have a hold on the role, for now, but that could change at any time. He's worth an add if you're in need of saves down the stretch. Ramirez now owns a 3.21 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and a 22:14 L/BB ratio over 14 innings.
