Trevor Cahill got the start on Saturday but pitched just 2.2 innings, allowing one run on two hits with a pair of walks and strikeouts as the Giants held on to beat the D-backs 4-3.
Cahill exited his previous start early due with a hip issue, which an MRI later revealed to be inflammation, so it appears the Giants were just being cautious in pulling him early in this one. The bullpen was able to carry the day for San Francisco. Cahill has gone just 11 innings over his previous three starts combined and is not a reliable fantasy option going forward due to his suspect workload and health. He still owns a solid 2.65 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 17 innings, which he'll take into his next start at the Padres.
