Minnesota Twins right-hander Michael Pineda pitched well in a 6-2 win over the Tigers on Monday. Pineda allowed two runs over seven innings while striking out eight and walking two.
Pineda looked excellent in his second start of the season. The veteran right-hander picked up the win, improving his record to 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts in 13 innings of work. Based on his strong start to the season, Pineda is worth an add in any leagues where he's still available. Pineda will take on Cleveland next time out.
