Luis Garcia was a last-minute scratch on Monday as he attempts to avoid the IL with a heel injury. He is considered day-to-day. Expect the Nationals to update his status as the situation develops. (Mark Zuckerman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Garcia is slashing .293/.321/.387 in 75 at-bats for the Nationals this season. He typically bats in the bottom third of the line-up and does not offer much home run or steal potential. Still, Garcia is one of the Nationals' best prospects and at 20 years old, he is the youngest player in the big leagues this season. Owners in standard 12-team redraft leagues can leave him on the Waiver Wire for now.
