Daniel Ponce de Leon goes three innings in Game Two no-decision Tuesday

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Cardinals Correspondent | Wed, Sep 9th 1:05am EDT

Daniel Ponce de Leon allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts in three innings pitched as the Cardinals beat the Twins 6-4 in Game Two Tuesday. The runs were surrendered on a Brent Rooker home run, which was the first of Rooker's career. The Cardinals are now 18-17 on the season and have sole possession of second place in the NL Central.

Fantasy Impact:

Ponce de Leon has not pitched more than four and two thirds innings in any appearance this season. He is the Cardinals' sixth starting pitcher and will probably get the nod on Monday in the doubleheader against the Brewers but nothing is official yet. He is not a recommended streamer in 12-team redraft leagues.
