Mike Minor coughs up four runs in no-decision on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Wed, Sep 9th 12:29pm EDT

Mike Minor took a no-decision on Tuesday when he yielded four runs on three hits with four strikeouts and two walks over 3.1 innings of work in the A's 5-4 loss to the Astros in the second half of their doubleheader.

Fantasy Impact:

Minor avoided trouble and prevented Houston from scoring until the top of the fourth inning when he hit Carlos Correa with the bases loaded. He was lifted and replaced by Yusmeiro Petit, who let all of Minor's inherited runners score. The veteran southpaw has an ugly 6.35 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 39:15 K/BB ratio over 39.2 innings this year. He's not a recommended streaming option against the upstart Mariners in his next turn.
