Matt Thaiss connects for solo homer on Wednesday night

by Lucas Spence | Angels Correspondent | Thu, Sep 10th 1:02am EDT

In just his second game back with the team since being promoted, Angels utility-man Matt Thaiss hit his first home run of the season, connecting for a solo shot off of lefty reliever Brett Martin in the seventh inning. Thaiss went 1-for-4 in a 7-3 loss to the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact:

Interestingly, Thaiss hit in a very favorable spot in the lineup for the second consecutive game, batting second ahead of Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon. In limited playing time, Thaiss is hitting just .167 with a .583 OPS and can be ignored in most fantasy leagues for the time being.
