Giovanny Gallegos (groin) placed on the 10-day IL

Giovanny Gallegos was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right groin strain. Nabil Crismatt was recalled from the Cardinals alternate site in a corresponding move. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Gallegos sustained the injury on Thursday during a disastrous appearance in which he gave up three runs without recording an out against the Tigers. He has a chance to make it back before the end of the regular season but time is obviously of the essence. Andrew Miller, Ryan Helsley, and John Gant all figure to be in the mix for saves as long as Gallegos is on the shelf.
