Justin Verlander to skip final spring start?

by Nathan Burns | Astros Correspondent | Sun, Mar 29th 3:13pm EDT

Justin Verlander was pulled in the 3rd inning of Friday's game with tightness in his arm. The injury was later described as a cramp. It is possible he rests his arm on Thursday; his final scheduled start of the spring. (Adam Berry)

Fantasy Impact:

Berry suggests Verlander's start could be pushed back to the 12th without the Tigers having to find another starter in their system or bullpen. JV is a workhorse, and we will assume that missing his final spring start indicates rest for his scheduled start on April 7th. The soreness may be a bit concerning. Owners, stay tuned.
