Jesus Luzardo hit hard in no-decision on Monday

Jesus Luzardo took a no-decision in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the Mariners when he surrendered four runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and no walks across 4 2/3 innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Luzardo retired eight of the first 11 batters he faced and looked to be in line for a win until he ran into trouble in the bottom of the fourth when he gave up a solo blast to Luis Torrens. He then coughed up another solo shot to Jose Marmolejos, a double, then a two-run dinger to Kyle Lewis in the fifth. This was par for the course for Luzardo who has struggled to pitch with any type of consistency this season. The so-so outing raised his season ERA to 4.32 to along with a 1.28 WHIP and a 52:14 K/BB ratio across 50 innings.
