Rhys Hoskins (elbow) may need Tommy John Surgery

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Phillies Correspondent | Wed, Sep 16th 1:15am EDT

Rhys Hoskins (elbow), who was placed on the IL on Monday with damage to his left UCL, may need Tommy John surgery to repair the damage. The Phillies are hoping that he can return and play through the injury, since it is to his non-throwing elbow, but Hoskins needs to undergo further testing before a clear picture for his availability emerges. The Phillies will continue to update the situation as it develops. (Meghan Montemurro on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Hoskins is slashing .254/.384/.503 with ten home runs in 151 at-bats for the Phillies this season. Fantasy owners in standard 12-team redraft leagues looking to replace Hoskins' pop in the line-up could look to add Jared Walsh, DJ Stewart, Bobby Dalbec, Mitch Moreland or Adam Duvall if they are available.
