Zack Wheeler's fingernail got caught on his jeans zipper last week forcing him to have his start delayed until it healed. Wheeler will face his old team, the Mets, and Jacob DeGrom as the Phillies battle for playoff seeding in the crowded National League playoff picture. (Matt Gelb)

Wheeler has a 2.47 ERA with 36 strikeouts and eight non-intentional walks in 51 innings pitched for the Phillies this season. His 3.80 xFIP indicates he hasn't pitched as well as his numbers would indicate. He has a 6.5% HR/FB rate this season compared to 10.7% HR/FB career average. Owners may want to bench Wheeler for his start tomorrow against the red hot Mets to see if the injury has any lasting effects as his win potential is diminished by having to face DeGrom.
