Tommy Edman went 1-3 with one RBI and was caught stealing as the Cardinals beat the Brewers 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon. The Cardinals are now 22-22 on the season.
Edman is slashing .265/.335/.400 in 155 at-bats this season. The caught stealing was his fourth in six attempts this season. Edman is one of the fastest players in the majors but he doesn't get the opportunity to run much because the Cardinals average only one stolen base attempt every other game. Still, Edman has been hot over his last 10 games, slashing .290/.421/.516 over that span. Because of the Cardinals high volume schedule and Edman's position at the top of the line-up he warrants consideration as an 'add' in standard 12-team redraft leagues.
