Trevor Rogers needed 76 pitches to get through three innings of work against the Red Sox, giving up one run on three hits while striking out three.
Rogers did well in terms of run prevention. He just didn't pitch deep into the contest. Still, it's certainly an improvement from his last start against the Phillies when he gave up eight earned runs over three frames. The 22-year-old certainly has strikeout upside with 29 punchouts in 21 big league innings thus far. He just needs to work on his consistency moving forward.
