Cesar Valdez pitched the final inning in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Rays, giving up two runs on a walk, a double, and a sacrifice fly. The Orioles lost, 3-1, giving Valdez his first loss of the season.

Valdez appears to be the reliever the Orioles trust the most in high-leverage situations, and Valdez has earned it with a 1.46 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 12 and 1/3 innings. He has an outside chance at closing for the Orioles in 2021, and should be rostered in deeper leagues if you need saves.
