Griffin Canning picks up first win of season

Angels starter Griffin Canning pitched well on Thursday in picking up his first victory of the season vs. the Diamondbacks. Canning was effective but not particularly efficient, as he needed 104 pitches to make it through five innings. Canning gave up two runs (only one earned) while scattering six hits and two walks and striking out seven.
