Mark Teixeira leaves game after HBP

The oft-injured Mark Teixeira was forced to leave a minor league game in which he was playing in to get some extra at bats, after being hit in the kneecap by a pitch. Teixeira said afterward he is 'fine' and there are no further tests planned. (ESPN New York)

The Yankees need to maintain their health this season and that especially bodes true for Mark Teixeira. He has missed significant time over the past several seasons and has struggled to return to form following a wrist injury in 2013. Mark Teixeira has the ability to be a quality fantasy option at first base, but with the position as deep as it is, he is likely just a low-end utility option until he proves he can consistently produce and remain healthy.
