Edwin Encarnacion trying to get in groove for Opening Day

by Dan Lucia | Mon, Mar 30th 8:15am EDT

Blue Jays first baseman, Edwin Encarnacion, is looking to get his swing locked in as Opening Day approaches. Encanacion is batting just .063 over 15 at bats this spring. He missed a couple weeks after dealing with inflammation in his back.

Fantasy Impact:

Edwin Encarnacion has battled injuries over the last year and is looking to get on track as the season is about to get underway. Encarnacion is coming off a 34 home run season in 2014, foillowing his 36 and 42 home run seasons in 2013 and 2012 respectively. He is a solid fantasy option at first base or as a utility player, as long as his back can hold up through the grind of a long summer.
