Nick Margevicius does his job in no-decision on Thursday

by Jon Mathisen | Fri, Sep 18th 11:45am EDT

Nick Margevicius took a no-decision on Thursday when he surrendered three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out three across five innings in the Mariners 6-4 loss to the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Margevicius fared much better in this game than his previous start against the Giants when we was lit up for seven runs. He coughed up a solo home run to Darin Ruf in the second inning but was able to minimize the damage until the sixth when he gave up two more runs. With Seattle holding a 4-3 lead, the left-hander was in line for the win until Kendall Graveman yielded three runs in the seventh inning and the Mariners ultimately lost. The 24-year old will carry a 5.35 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 32:11 K/BB ratio across 35 1/3 innings (nine appearances, six starts) into his next turn against the Astros.
