Logan Webb blasted by the A's in Friday in loss

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Sat, Sep 19th 11:58am EDT

Logan Webb was hammered on Friday night when he allowed six runs on six hits while striking out one and walking two over 3 1/3 innings in the Giants 6-0 loss to the A's.

Fantasy Impact:

The A's were all over Webb from the start with Jake Lamb knocking an RBI single in the first to put Oakland on the board. His big mistake was in the third inning when he surrendered a three-run homer to Matt Olson. The Giants were shutout by Webb's counterpart, Chris Bassitt, so he was saddled with his fourth loss of the season. It's been an up and down year for the 23-year old and this recent slip up elevated his season ERA to 5.73 to go along with a 1.52 WHIP and a 45:21 K/BB ratio across 48 2/3 innings (11 starts). He'll get the Rockies at home in his next rotation turn.
