Mike Trout delivers game-winner vs. Rangers on Saturday

by Lucas Spence | Angels Correspondent | Sun, Sep 20th 12:30am EDT

Angels megastar Mike Trout drove in the winning run for the Angels on Saturday night, lacing a go-ahead RBI single to left field in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Angels a 4-3 victory over the Rangers. The RBI single was Trout’s only hit of the evening, but he sure did make it count. Trout finished the night 1-for-4 with an RBI and a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact:

With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, men on the corners, and nobody out, Trout came through with a clutch go-ahead RBI single to propel the Angels to victory. Trout has been in a bit of a skid recently, as he is 6-for-26 (.231) with only two runs and four RBI in his past 7 games and has not homered since September 10th. Hopefully tonight's heroics will get him going again just in time for the final week of the season.
