Angels starter Andrew Heaney pitched well on Saturday, giving up three earned runs, six hits, and one walk over 6.2 innings. Heaney also struck out eight but did not factor in the decision.
Things started poorly for Heaney tonight as he gave up a leadoff home run to Leody Taveras and then a two-run home run to Rougned Odor a few batters later in the first inning. However, Heaney was able to settle in after that and did not allow any additional damage. Heaney has a very tough draw next Friday at the Dodgers in what will likely be his final start of the season.
