Jordan Romano, who's been out since August 29th with a right middle finger strain, began throwing off a mound on Saturday. (Shi Davidi on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Romano was initially expected to be out 2-4 weeks with the injury so he appears to be ahead of schedule. He could be ready to go if the Blue Jays wind up making the playoffs, they currently have a three-game lead in the loss column over the Mariners. The 27-year old was excellent out of Toronto's pen this season with a 1.23 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and a 21:5 K/BB ratio across 14 2/3 innings.
