Angels first baseman Jared Walsh extended his hitting streak to 12 games during Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Rangers. Walsh finished 1-for-4 with a single, yet he failed to score a run or drive in a run for the second consecutive game.
After an astonishing streak that saw Walsh both score a run and drive in a run in for nine consecutive games, Walsh has now failed to do so in back-to-back games, perhaps a sign that the scorching hot lefty is starting to cool off a bit. Regardless, Walsh continues to contribute, slashing a Freddie Freeman-esque .315/.685/1.022 on the season and likely has helped propel many fantasy owners into the finals this coming week. He should be owned everywhere.
