Brett Anderson solid in six innings of work

by Stan Son | Mon, Mar 30th 6:28pm EDT

Brett Anderson did not allow an earned run in six innings of work Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He allowed four hits, one walk, and struck out two. Anderson threw 42 of his 74 total pitches for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson probably can't be relied on to pitch too many innings this year, as he hasn't topped 85 innings pitched since 2011. While he is healthy though, he could be a viable spot-start pitcher. As the #134 starting pitcher off the board, you won't get many strikeouts from Anderson but wins, quality starts, and ERA help are definitely a possiblity with a solid defense and offense that the Dodgers possess.
