Oneil Cruz reportedly involved in an accident in the Dominican Republic

The Pittsburgh Pirates have released a statement regarding the accident that SS prospect Oneil Cruz was involved with in the Dominican Republic. (Adam Berry on Twitter)

“The Pirates are aware of the tragic accident in the Dominican Republic involving Oneil Cruz. We have been in contact with Oneil and he is cooperating fully with the local authorities. We will provide an update as more information becomes available," is what the Pirates' statement said. There was apparently a motorcycle accident that killed three people. Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic hears that alcohol wasn't involved. Look for updates on this story in the coming hours/days.
