Kolten Wong 2-3, caught stealing on Tuesday

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Wed, Sep 23rd 1:25am EDT

Kolten Wong went 2-3 with one walk, one RBI, and was caught stealing as the Cardinals beat the Royals 5-0 on Tuesday. Wong's hits were both singles and he knocked in Dylan Carlson in the second inning to make the score 3-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals are now 27-25 with the victory.

Fantasy Impact:

Wong is slashing .259/.352/.316 in 159 at-bats this season. He has done a good job for the Cardinals proving 0.9 WAR in roughly one-third of playing time he had last season. However, he is a more useful real life player than fantasy player. Owners in standard 12-team redraft leagues can leave Wong on the Waiver Wire as he is unlikely to provide value in any category except runs scored over the final week of the season.
