Jaime Barria pulled after just two innings on Wednesday

by Lucas Spence | Guardians Correspondent | Wed, Sep 23rd 11:46pm EDT

Angels starter Jaime Barria lasted only two innings during Wednesday’s win over the Padres, throwing just 32 pitches and yielding two runs on three hits while recording only six outs.

Fantasy Impact:

Barria has pitched well in limited time this season so today’s quick hook was quite a surprise - to this point there has been no mention of injury. Barria surrendered a two-run home run to Eric Hosmer in the first inning and followed that up with a scoreless frame in the second inning. Barria finishes 2020 with a solid 3.62 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 32.1 innings (5 starts). He will compete for a spot in the Halos starting rotation next spring.
