Roenicke added that Sale still has a long road ahead of him in his return from Tommy John surgery, which is true. It was already reported that Sale was playing catch early in September, so perhaps he has ramped up the intensity a bit as of late. The lanky southpaw is aiming to return within the first couple months of the 2021 campaign.
