Rafael Montero gave up two earned runs in a non-save situation during Thursday's 12-4 loss to the Astros. This was his third straight appearance where he allowed an earned run or more.
Fantasy Impact:
After taking over the closer role in August, Montero had a great stretch of six saves and 11 strikeouts in 8.2 innings. In September, Montero has two saves with six strikeouts in seven innings. Assuming Montero has the closer role in 2021, he should be a value in drafts.
