Nationals starter Patrick Corbin allowed three earned runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out three over seven innings in Thursday's loss to the New York Mets. The loss drops him to 2-7 on the season.
Corbin started the season 2-0 and then finished the year with seven straight losses. The Nationals lost nine of his 11 starts this season. Not all of those losses have been his fault, of course, but he pitched to a 4.66 ERA and 1.57 WHIP while striking out just 60 batters over 65 2/3 innings after striking out 238 batters over 202 innings with a 3.25 ERA in 2019.
