Evan White blasts eighth home run of the year on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Angels Correspondent | Sun, Sep 27th 1:54pm EDT

Evan White went a combined 3-for-7 with a home run, a double, two runs scored, and two RBI in the Mariners doubleheader against the A's on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

White went 0-for-3 in Game 1 but came alive in Game 2 smacking a solo home run and a double while picking up a pair of RBI. The rookie first baseman experienced some growing pains this year but flashed his talent, especially defensively, for the rebuilding Mariners. He enters the final game of the regular season with a .180/.258/.354 batting line to go along with eight home runs and 26 RBI across 178 at-bats. Despite his struggles the M's will stick with him going forward.
