Marco Gonzales takes a no-decision in regular season finale

by Jon Mathisen | Pirates Correspondent | Mon, Sep 28th 12:16pm EDT

Marco Gonzales was handed a no-decision on Sunday when he allowed two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk across five innings in the Mariners 6-2 loss to the A's.

Fantasy Impact:

Gonzales wasn't his usual efficient self as it took him 97 pitches--64 strikes--to get through five innings of work. The southpaw still put together an excellent season for the rebuilding Mariners going 7-2 with a 3.10 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and a 64:7 K/BB ratio across 69 2/3 innings (11 starts). He'll be worth of a mid round pick in fantasy drafts next season as he looks to take another step forward.
