Paul DeJong went 1-3 with a single and one RBI as the Cardinals beat the Brewers 5-2 on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
DeJong finishes the season worth 0.5 WAR, while batting .250 with three home runs, one stolen base, 17 runs and 25 RBI in 152 at-bats. He was unable to sustain his improved strikeout rate from 2019 as it worsened from 22.4% to 28.7% while his career average is 25.2%. His HR rate also regressed this season after his breakout 2019. DeJong did suffer from COVID-19 during the Cardinals outbreak which could have had an impact on his production this season. DeJong likely won't be drafted in standard 12-team redraft leagues in 2021 but will be worth monitoring in the early parts of next season.
