Sandy Alcantara named Marlins Game One starter

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Marlins Correspondent | Tue, Sep 29th 2:29am EDT

Sandy Alcantara has been chosen to start Game One of the Marlins' NL Wild Card series against the Chicago Cubs. Alcantara will match-up against Cy Young candidate Yu Darvish. It is Alcantara's first post season start and the Marlins first appearance since 2003 when they beat the Yankees in the World Series. (Craig Mish on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Alcantara faces a Cubs team full of struggling, underperforming hitters. He is coming off a great start in which he threw seven and one third innings of two run ball against the Yankees. Alcantara makes an intriguing DFS pick because he will likely have low ownership, Yu Darvish hasn't been his sharpest over last four starts, and the Cubs line-up have a .294 wOBA (26th overall) over the last 30 days.
