Pete Fairbranks closes out Tampa Bay's Game 1 win
by Brendan Tuma | Rays Correspondent | Tue, Sep 29th 8:49pm EDT
Pete Fairbanks secured the save in the Rays' postseason opener against the Blue Jays, using 18 pitches to throw a scoreless frame.
Fantasy Impact:
Diego Castillo and Nick Anderson were used earlier in the game tonight, so Fairbanks came on for the save. He became the 13th different Tampa reliever to earn a save in 2020, having none gotten any during the regular season. The bullpen is obviously one of the Rays' strengths this year. They'll continue to mix-and-match throughout their playoff run.
