Kyle Hendricks (0-1) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over six 1/3 innings in Wednesday's 5-1 Game 1 loss to the Marlins.
Hendricks tossed six scoreless innings before yielding a three-run shot to Corey Dickerson in the seventh frame. He threw a total of 106 pitches, landing 66 for strikes. It was a unfortunate end for Hendricks who limited the Marlins to just three hits heading into the seventh inning. Despite pitching well, Hendricks continues to receive little run support. The Cubs have scored a combined three runs in his last three starts.
