Chris Paddack shelled in Game 1 loss on Wednesday

by Jon Mathisen | Twins Correspondent | Thu, Oct 1st 1:33am EDT

Chris Paddack was hammered on Wednesday when he surrendered six runs on eight hits with one strikeout over 2 1/3 innings in the Padres Game 1 Wild Card loss to the Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact:

The Cards were all over Paddack from the jump as they hung four runs on him in the first, two via a Paul Goldschmidt dinger. He would give up two more runs in the third inning before getting yanked. The Padres certainly have their backs against the wall with Mike Clevinger and Dinelson Lamet both unavailable. One of the former likely would have started Game 1 in Paddack's place were they able to pitch.
