Austin Nola drives in two runs in Game 1 loss on Wednesday

by Jon Mathisen | Royals Correspondent | Thu, Oct 1st 1:44am EDT

Austin Nola went 0-for-2 with two RBI and a strikeout in the Padres 7-4 loss to the Cardinals in Game 1 on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Nola drove in both of his runs via sacrifice flies in the second and sixth innings, respectively. The Padres got to Cardinals starter Kwang Hyun Kim but were shut out by the Saint Louis bullpen after the sixth inning. The 30-year old catcher has been a bit of a disappointment since coming over from Seattle at the trade deadline. He slashed .222/.324/.381 across 63 at-bats in San Diego in the final month of the regular season.
