Masahiro Tanaka gave up six runs in an eventually no-decision versus the Indians, allowing five hits and walking three over four innings pitched.

The Yankees still wound up winning a slugfest, 10-9, advancing to the ALDS against the Rays in the process. The beginning of this game was odd as the start time was pushed back due to rain, and then there was another delay in the first inning. That might've messed with Tanaka as he's typically very sharp in the postseason. He'll now get ready to face Tampa Bay in the ALDS.
