by Jon Mathisen | Padres Correspondent | Fri, Oct 2nd 12:04am EDT

Fernando Tatis Jr. was in full effect on Thursday when he went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI as the Padres evened up the series with the Cardinals to force a Game 3 on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

We were given the full Fernando Tatis Jr. experience on Thursday replete with clutch home runs and bat flips. The Padres were in dire straights heading into the sixth inning until Tatis pulled the Padres to within one run with a three-run blast to left field off Giovanny Gallegos. He then broke the game open in the bottom of the seventh when he went opposite field off Daniel Ponce de Leon to put San Diego up 9-6. Game 3 on Friday will be a must watch event as Slam Diego faces off against Jack Flaherty.
